Cinders & Sapphires - Leila Rasheed I was right in my earlier prediction. I did not finish at page 75. This book just wasn't for me. I definitely got hung up on the fact that in the prologue it talks about the wind tugging at her hat, but less than two pages later it makes mention that she's not wearing a hat, multiple times. That's kind of a big thing to miss. I continued, hoping that it would get better, that the scandals would suck me in and I'd love the characters. Unfortunately the writing was very light and did not set the tone for the novel. I felt like I was reading a tween novel versus YA. At 75 pages I didn't feel any attachment to any of the characters and there were so many characters that it was almost overwhelming, which would be okay if the writing wasn't so underwhelming. The mix just made me want to stop reading the book asap.
