Honestly this probably would have been four stars, but I'm still irritated by the ending. It was a decent sequel. Although the middle dragged on a bit longer than I would have liked, the author did a great job keeping the story moving and ultimately tying up all the loose ends with that part of the story. To be perfectly honest I didn't see the way it ended coming, and it did take me by surprise a little bit. However, I wasn't exactly thinking ahead of what could happen, otherwise I probably would have seen it a mile away. All in all, a solid read, but not something that really "wowed" me (which isn't surprising coming from book 2 of a trilogy). I just hope the next one wraps everything up nicely.
